Summer 2002 – Journey to the Flame
Centuries ago in long forgotten times when the Earth was cold and dark.
All animals could openly communicate but none had known the gift of fire.
The only light found at night was the small gifts of sight given to us by Grandmother moon on the days she was full.
And The days of the new moon meant utter darkness, save for the tiny shimmer of the stars when they peeked out from behind the clouds.
No food had ever been cooked.
No tool had ever been forged,
and on the long dark nights of winter huddling together in the blackness was the only source of warmth.
This is what it meant to live without fire!
However, there was an island where there lived a race of giant creatures, their name long forgotten, who had been blessed by the striking of lightning.
Gifted FIRE by the great spirit.
Lights at night had been seen on this island and the wind whispered stories of this thing named "FIRE".
The birds confirmed it, a glowing crimson slash in th night like nothing they had ever seen,
sparkling in the center of a grove on the island.
All the animals had gathered together in council to discuss this "FIRE"
In the summer of 2002 Mythmaker Productions preformed its first full length fire preformance peice.
Although Quite versed in sacerd improve theatre and having years experience in fire prformance and ritual theatre,
